I have been seeing Dr. Obersteadt for many years now. I have never experienced any issues with the staff, I always feel welcomed, and never have I had any issues with billing. I am a 32-year-old wife and mother of two small children. I began having an array of symptoms two years ago. They ranged from bowel and bladder issues to muscle pain and weakness. My list of symptoms covered a front and back notebook page. About a year ago, I began experiencing more severe muscle weakness that resulted in a difficulty in difficulty walking. I visited many doctors, was even hospitalized, but no real diagnosis. I was told that it could be MS, and then it was confirmed that it was definitely an autoimmune disease that was attacking my nerves. Still no real answers and steroids was the only treatment. My doctor decided to lower my steroids which caused me to totally lose my balance and I became unable to stand or walk. I had to depend on someone for everything including going to the restroom.
When I visited Dr. Obersteadt at Belle Meade, I had been wheelchair bound for 15 weeks. Two days after my first visit, I noticed an improvement in my balance and was able to take six steps. I continued to become stronger and soon I was able to use my walker. I have been seeing Dr. Obersteadt for 9 or 10 weeks and I am now able to walk with the use of my cane. All of my other symptoms have improved by 50 or 60%. Through his training in kinesiology, laser acupuncture, and natural supplements, along with a wonderful caring staff, I have been helped tremendously.
Belle Meade was highly recommended to me and I would recommend them to anyone. I may not have an exact diagnosis, but I feel I am on the road to recovery. Thanks to Belle Meade, I am able to enjoy life again.
